Big Group is a London-based marketing agency with expertise in performance marketing, customer experience and marketing technology enabling them to create cutting-edge ideas, immersive events and award-winning integrated campaigns.

Duchamp is a well-established London-based lifestyle brand, focusing on accessible menswear and accessories. The name originates from the late artist Marcel Duchamp, whom along with Picasso and Matisse played a significant role in the history of art. Duchamp has stores in London but also holds a presence in department stores such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Harrods (UK), Bloomingdales (US) and Harry Rosen (Canada). The brand also has over 50 independent stockists throughout the UK and Ireland.

The brief asked for an online user interface (UI) for a Christmas competition named the ‘Pocket Square Designer’. The interface allowed users to create unique festive pocket squares with a selection of pre-created classic kitsch knit designs. This competition was used across social media to increase engagement during the holiday season.

The individually knitted patterns – both icons and borders – were developed from start to finish. The unique designs were automatically added to the Duchamp website and entered into the ‘Pocket Square Designer’ competition where they would be reviewed and receive ratings by fellow users.
